I read last week in Elsevier about a restaurant in Zeist called Oud London that organizes a night once a month called "Dineren in het Donker" ("Dining in the Dark"). It is arranged in conjunction with one of the Dutch organizations for the blind and it aims to give people the chance to experience what it is like to dine in a restaurant as a blind person. It is a very interest concept, I would really love to try it out. I imagine that you would have to suspend all of your barriers of shyness and decorum as you have to accept that you would knock things and put your hands in the butter or whatever. Maybe I will get a chance to go there some time.

Will you be doing your usual Friday weigh in post today? Currently I myself am on an exercise programme, been eating healthy and going to the gym everyday. I'm nearly at the end of week three. I haven't weighed myself yet (I'm waiting until 9th March) but I feel much fitter and slimmer than just three weeks ago.
I put a little bit of weight on on holidays but I am really watching my diet and training so from next week I'll be back where I was and I am going to start weights training. Good luck with your training! I will be doing a Friday Weigh-in next week again.
I've read about this restaurant before, it sounds fascinating, I'd love to try it. I read a very eye-opening book once on the experience of being blind and how you have to change your life in so many ways to allow for it. Numerous little problems we sighted folk just never think about.
We were invited to dinner by a blind friend the other night and I was so impressed by the way she cooked a wonderful meal without any help at all, being completely attuned to doing all the necessary work without seeing anything.
